  1. mounted data showed up in the storage tab of the spark UI

I mounted an S3 bucket and didn't realize the mount persisted after detaching my cluster, so was getting charged for extra SSD storage on AWS when I could've been unmounting the data after use everyday.

  4. A "dbfsWordCount" streaming example would be a very helpful addition to the databricks_guide.

Just as a starter, maybe also add Kafka and Kinesis examples later on.

  7. Indicator within Cell of cell update status

For each cell, have an indicator to determine if that cell has been edited since the last time that the cell was executed. Otherwise, it’s too hard to tell what edits were made and whether I need to waste additional compute time to re-execute a previous cell.

  8. Sort order for table objects

Could we get a way to have sort order buttons on the columns so that I can just click and it will auto-sort the order based on whichever column I pick

  9. Support for parameters in SQL notebooks

It's supported in Python and Scala but the SQL notebooks. Definitely a valuable idea so that you can use the SQL notebook to build a dashboard for a whole range of problems. Now I need to use python to do this.

  10. collaboration notices indicated if people were idle for more than x minutes.

For collaboration - nice to know who is working on a notebook and where they are. But knowing if they are there or not would be nice. "Idle for more than 5 minutes" might be nice to have in the tooltip that gives their name.

  11. All notebooks within a folder could be exported as source code

The ability to export all notebooks as source code rather doing so one-by-one would be very helpful.

  12. Bulk assign notebooks to clusters

I have a series of notebooks which work together (utils, table creations, dashboards, etc). If I want the job to run on a new cluster currently I have to manually detach and attach each notebook individually.

With this feature I would be able to select multiple notebooks and attach them to a specific cluster.

  14. Run notebooks with -feature

    Right now you get

    > warning: there were 1 feature warning(s); re-run with -feature for details

Any you have no idea what's wrong.

  16. I could look at the local variables to debug my python scripts in the workbook when they halt with an error

I'm trying to map a function over an RDD (that is the result of a join). I have a defined function doing the mapped operation. It is dying somewhere when I do a take(3) to check on things. It would be great if I could see the arguments that are leading to the error that

  20. Mini-dashboard view inline in notebooks

Allow for a mini-dashboard view inline in notebooks (or at least simple tiling of multiple graphs for one command)
